The Artist
My name is Matt Acosta and I'm passionate about animation. I am a graduate from Cal State Fullerton, achieving a BFA in Entertainment Art/Animation. I lean more toward 3D animation and hope one day I can make a career out of making Character animations for a professional studio.
I wasn't always an artist, in fact I never did any art whatsoever until I attended university. I started my college career as a computer engineer, and at the time my best artwork was a barely proportional stick figure. It was a huge risk going into a field with people that have been drawing and designing for years already, but I was willing to face that challenge. I knew what career I wanted, and being a computer engineer gave me a different approach to how I do art. I knew I wanted to create, but I had to learn all the skills necessary first. I use my problem solving and analytical engineering background with my artistic and creative skill that I developed to make and enjoy what I love.
